Planning, discussing, packing and finally leaving for the long-awaited holiday. Such exciting times, so much fuss and so many talks between everyone involved, it just feels like it’s stressful or that it’s too much work. I’ve managed to pack all my important things in my backpack, so I am all ready to go.
Packed my blanky, a pacifier, 3 books, 2 poneys and some fluffy toys, my cat-cat and puppy. That’s all a person needs, right? Easy-peasy and everything was done in the blink of an eye.
After all the hard work I’ve decided to help my mommy with the big luggage, she seemed to be struggling, so I’ve put my nappies and slippers in. I believe it’s important to have the right pair of shoes, all the time. 🙂 Continue reading ““Going on holiday with my parents””
I am so glad you are reading this today because there are some aspects I’ve been thinking about lately and I want you to think about them too. You know what I’ve realized? We forgot how to be genuinely good to people.
Yes, it’s true, we really forgot how to do it.
The other day a girl stopped me on the street and asked if I am willing to donate 2 euro to a charity. She started the conversation with “have you done a good deed today?” and I froze. I have actually stopped and stared at her for a moment. Not because of the fact that she approached me on the street or because she wanted money, but because I have realized that I have stopped doing good for some reason. Continue reading “Good.”
Life can get overwhelming sometimes. Finding a balance between the day-to-day business activities, mixed with finding the right amount of passion to keep on growing skills and learning more and more, keeping family and friends close, showing love, understanding and compassion can put a lot of pressure on all of us. 12 months a year, 24 hours a day, this can drive people insane (well, not literally, but it can lead us to frustration and anxiety).
We all need an escape, we all need a place to run and forget about our worries, fears and troubles. Weekends are sometimes too short to plan a vacation or an exist plan. Books can only help us so much, although it’s nice to fly to a different world, become a new character, experience new eras and adapt to different plots and twists. It is never easy to truly write about feelings. Expressing powerful emotions has to be one of the most difficult things to write about. If you say too much everyone will know your secrets, if you say too little you might seem shallow. So, what’s the best way to approach this sensitive subject?
Well, there’s no easy way around it, so: just do it!
People never seem to find the right moment in time to say what they truly feel. Time doesn’t seem to be our best friend when we want to express certain feelings. As soon as that “perfect timing” passes the impact of our emotions and expressions doesn’t have the same effect. Continue reading “Love-ing”
Have you ever felt like your life was just routine? Waking up in the morning, having a cup of coffee, going to work, doing your daily chores, going back home, doing some house-stuff, watching a movie and going to bed. Next day doing it all over again, until the “Holy-Weekend” came and passed-by in the blink of an eye. Basically living on the edge of what life should actually mean to a human being…
Well, I’ve had the feeling described above for a year, every single day. I felt trapped and I felt like I was in a cage from where I couldn’t escape… it felt like all the happiness, excitement and joy was slowly crawling out of my body and waving a sad goodbye in my face.
I saw it going away, but I couldn’t do much about it. Professionally and personally my life looked “not so good” and I couldn’t find the energy to actually get a grip on life and start living again. Continue reading “Move on…”
Sometimes I write my posts when I’m directly affected by certain aspects in my life. Today I am writing this post because it’s Friday and because something really interesting happened. Something I didn’t believe was possible.
This morning I went to a coffee shop, to buy some coffee for my work colleagues and for myself. Because my husband couldn’t come with me, I took a cab and asked the driver to wait for me.

Three days have passed from the new-started year of 2017. How exciting… we have 12 months to do things, tick our checklists and set new goals and accomplish what we didn’t in 2016. A fresh start, a second chance, or simply just another new year start. We all have different perspectives, different ideas, different objectives and final goals. It is totally understandable.
This year, all I want is for people to come together and try to accomplish things together, let’s just call it a common purpose. Continue reading “Out with the Old, In with the New…”
