I am pretty sure everyone has had that moment when they were too tired to be able to sleep. Let’s assume you had like 3 hours of sleep the night before and you just wish you can go to bed early and get your batteries reloaded…
But dear crazy brain doesn’t function the way you want it to. It’s 10 p.m., you are all cosy in bed, you even had a glass of hot milk, just to help the process. You read a few pages from your book, to keep things normal. You are almost asleep… and then it hits you!
What if you start a business plan? What are the financial risks or how will it work if you have an associate?
Or, even better, you have to start the diet tomorrow, you have to research some detox recipes on the internet. Maybe even start jogging in the morning, or just do some exercises at home to keep the blood flowing properly.
Maybe even starting a new course or get some training with that new software you’ve seen on the internet the other day; that might help in the future.
What if you plan a holiday for next weekend, just to get away from all the fuss and stress? Maybe somewhere warm; what was the name of that agency your colleague told you about?
Is your cousin really going to have a baby? Or is your best friend really going to marry that guy? Is there anything you can do to help with all the planning? You have to see some ideas on the internet or in a magazine, just to let them know you care.
Did you turn off the heating? It seems a bit warm. Maybe if you’re out of bed, you can see some news on the laptop; just a quick look and then you’re going back to bed…
Oh, the new episode from your favourite show is on, you have to watch it, tomorrow you’ll be too busy.
And then you look at the time again, for you it seems like it has been just a few minutes, but it is actually 4 in the morning and there are 3 hours left until you have to wake up and go to work again…
Great job brain!
… and this is how a normal work day starts!
